I already called the hotel and they said they don’t sell passes for locals.

we have an infant and for the past three days, our air conditioner has been out of service. there is no way that as parents, we could subject her to that degree of heat. it got to the point that she broke out into a heat rash. we have been staying in a hotel for the past two nights and were curious as to what measures, if any, the apartment complex has to take to compensate us.

My Mom is gravely ill and one of my siblings wants her to flip the bill for in coming family hotel stays when she passes. Some of us live locally (within 45 min) and could have people stay, Mom’s house is good sized and her $$ are not unlimited.

I have prepaid for a hotel room and am concerned that my funds will be locked up by the hotel for approximated incidentals. I do not have a lot of extra money and do not plan on using any fee based services upon arrival.

What happens if I give them my debit card and there is not enough money available to cover the 15%-30% hold for incidentals?

I run an old concrete hotel which isn’t very friendly to people in wheelchairs. I know there isn’t much we can do to the physical structure to help with this, (we can’t widen doors, we can’t knock out walls) but I know we can add bars, and pull chains and stuff.

What resources are available to me help me with this project? Is there a web-site that would list recommendations, standards or ideas?
